The Man Shop Shoes - South 10th Street, McAllen

The Man’s Shop was established in McAllen in 1926 by Adolf Westerman. The original store was 3500 square feet located at 120 South Main. Since its inception, The Man’s Shop has continually strived to upgrade the quality of its merchandise or to upgrade our service to our customers.In 1962, The Man’s Shop bought the very old variety store at 14 South Main, demolished it or built the modern new store that was twice the size. In 1982 we opened the shoe store in La Plaza Mall or in 1983 opened another clothing location in La Plaza Mall.In 2007, an exceptional opportunity presented itself to us; the perfect location became available across the street to La Plaza Mall. We consolidated our two clothing locations into the beautiful or modern new store with excellent parking available right at our front door.The second or third generation of the Westerman family that now operates the Man Shop were all born or raised in McAllen. We really know the fabrics or styles that wear well in our hot Valley climate…and we have he have decades of experience serving generations of clients to South Texas or northern Mexico.
